These exquisite works of art not only adorn their respective locations but also bring a sense of joy and positivity to those who encounter them.

"Into the Palms," a colossal glass mosaic measuring an impressive 52 inches by 144 inches, takes center stage in the lobby of a special place. The second piece, "Tropical Romance," with dimensions of 57 inches by 37 inches, warmly greets patients as they enter the emergency department. These artworks have become not only decorative elements but also sources of inspiration and comfort for visitors and patients alike.

Creating "Into the Palms" was no small feat. Mila Apperlo and Stevan Stanisic poured their hearts and souls into this project over a span of five to six months. The result is a breathtaking mosaic composed of more than 5,000 individual pieces of meticulously hand-cut colored glass. The attention to detail and dedication to their craft are evident in every inch of this extraordinary artwork.

When asked about the inspiration behind "Into the Palms," Mila Apperlo shared her hope that people would perceive a sense of happiness and positive energy when they gaze upon it. This sentiment encapsulates the essence of these artists' work – the ability to evoke emotions and connect with viewers on a profound level.

"Tropical Romance," though slightly smaller in scale, is no less captivating. Its presence at the entrance of the emergency department offers solace and tranquility to those who may be going through challenging times. The vibrant colors and intricate design convey a message of hope and beauty amidst adversity.

Mila Apperlo and Stevan Stanisic's collaboration has not only enriched the local art scene in Bonita Springs but has also demonstrated the power of art to uplift spirits and inspire positivity.
